A study conducted by Confindustria Marmomacchine has revealed a slowdown in Italian export

 of machinery and equipment for working ornamental stone.

Italy, the world leader in manufacturing and export of world class machinery and equipment in the sector is showing the impact of recession. In the first nine months of 2008 its sales are up only 0.54 per cent compared to last year i.e. rising from 609,342,745 to 612,659,995 euro. Figures for the end of 2008 show a further slowdown in sales on world market.
