Shanghai New International Expo Centre is again getting ready to hold 17th China international stone processing machinery, equipment and products exhibition-STONETECH 2010 SHANGHAI. The event is scheduled to be held from April 6 – 9, 2010.

In view of the prevailing depression in the world economy, the organisers of STONETECH 2010 SHANGHAI, which include CCPIT Building Materials Sub-council, China Stone Material Industrial Association and CIEC Exhibition Co. Ltd., have taken to aggressive marketing strategy to promote the exhibition at home and abroad.

At the end of August 2009 STONETECH held a conference in Shuitou, the most important and solid stone base in China, to promote the new marketing ideas and proposals for large-scale companies.

Shuitou has always been the strong supporter of STONETECH fair. It is the most well-known stone processing centre in China with more than 3,000 companies.

According to promoters of STONETECH 2010 SHANGHAI, no market can be compared with China in 2010, and no city can be more glorious and full of opportunities  than Shanghai. This makes the exhibition a profitable venture to participate.

During the conference, collaboration with architects and developers as well as the experience learned from ceramics industry were under focus. CCPITBM, the organiser of the show, introduced its  promotion plan in architecture sectors as well as the buyer incentive plan. This plan is specially for quality buyers at home and abroad.

On the international front STONETECH 2010 and China Pavilion will present themselves again in MARMOMACC 2009 in Verona, Italy. More than 200 exhibitors from China occupying 3,000 sq m area will be the top hot location in Verona.

At the STONETECH booth No. C6-2 in MARMOMACC 2009, visitors will not only get the updated information on STONETECH 2010 but also what is going on with the China stone market in recent years.

For participation in STONETECH 2010, booth booking on site during MARMOMACC 2009 can be done availing final discount on tariff.

The organisers of STONETECH 2010 are sure to make bigger and better comparing exhibition's earlier performances. In 2009 the exhibition put up a grand show looking least affected by the prevailing recession. There were 48,786 trade visitors from 71 countries welcomed by 720 exhibitors from 26 countries.

For sometime China has been showing its growing requirement for imported stones in different categories, establishing its importance as the top importer of the material in the world. It imports large quantity of stone blocks and processes them to slabs and tiles before being transported out of country.

A post fair analysis of STONETECH 2009 brought to the fore that 90 per cent of foreign exhibitors in the fair were already exporting both blocks and stone end products to China.

All these facts indicate towards how much beneficial it is to participate in STONETECH 2010. Market potential of China is incomparable.

These days, like most of the countries in the world, China is being challenged by the sudden economic crisis. And realising this it is now making good use of its domestic demand. The government has allocated huge budget for building railways, airports, city infrastructure and to develop China's vast suburban area. The huge demand of stone and stone products cannot be overlooked in such projects. STONETECH 2010 is the right platform to secure a business link in China's flourishing stone market.
