A GRANITE PARK IN THE MAKING

In a bid to promote its granite industry. Karnataka government in developing a new industrial area in Chamarajanagar. The government has notified 1,300 acres land for this purpose.

Karnataka government has proposed to develop granite park in Chamarajanagar. Road shows are being organised in various places in the neighboring states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh to attract industrialists. The government delegation would soon hold series of meetings with prospective investors from Tamil Nadu.

Chamarajanagar situated at a distance of 185 km from Bangalore is promoted as new industrial hub. It is known for its natural recourses like black granite, garnet, white stone, dolomite etc.

Karnataka government proposes granite park on 300 acre in the new industrial area. Already 20 units are functioning at this park and another 70 units are likely to set their granite processing units.
